January Glossybox + My First Blog Post!

I've wanted to start a beauty blog for quite some time now (those who know me would definitely agree to that claim) and I've finally decided to do it!
Better late than never, right?

So here's dedicating my first post to January's Glossybox! Enjoy!

Glossybox is a monthly subscription beauty box service where you receive 5 luxury beauty product miniatures from high-end brands every month that are closely catered to your beauty needs for just £10.00 (plus P&P). I personally think for that price it's ideal for beauty junkies or for those who want to try new beauty products but don't want to shell out on full price products. This month's Glossybox is a limited edition Valentine's Day box that comes in a gorgeous bright hot pink! LOVE IT. This is also their second limited edition box with the first one being their bright red Christmas edition box.

Let's get started!

1. Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Powder Pink

This is actually my first Eyeko product, I've heard of them before but never been tempted to try any products from them... so it was nice to get this in this month's box. It would have been better if the eyeliner was a more conventional black colour but I'm guessing they're trying to go for the whole pink theme this month (this was also the only full sized product). It is a wax based formula with a cream finish. The powder pink colour is perfect if you're the type who uses a white or flesh-toned liner on your lower waterline to give that wide-eyed effect. I personally find that white is too harsh on my lower waterline so this pink liner could be a better alternative.

Full size price £9.50 per pencil

2. Davines Moisturizing Balm

Davines is another brand that I've not used before so I'm looking forward to trying this one! It is a face, hair and body balm with organic carthame oil and no parabens, artificial colours, silicons and PEG... so it's good for those with sensitive skins. To apply on face, use a cotton pad and gently remove impurities and make up and then rinse off. For the body, apply right after a shower on damp skin for better absorption, wait a few minutes and rinse. Finally, for the hair - apply on the ends of damp cleansed hair, leave in for a few minutes and rinse off. Also this is a pretty good sized product at 75ml.

Full size price £17.40, 150ml

3. Davines Cleaning Nectar

This is a hair and body oil shampoo also from Davines that will go very well with the above moisturising balm. Also made with organic carthame oil with no SLES, parabens, artificial colours, silicons, sulphates, PEG. Perfect for a more organic and healthy way to go about washing your hair.

Full size price £18.50, 280ml

4. FAB Gentle Body Wash

This body wash is ideal as well as safe for those with sensitive skin, it's a gently body wash that can cleanse, calm redness and relieve dry skin. I reckon this will be quite good during the harsh winter weather as a daily body wash.

Full size price £13.00, 226.8g

5. Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer - Dewy Finish

This has got to be my favourite product in the box this month, I'm a sucker for primers! It's very different from a lot of the primers that I have tried so far... it doubles up as a tinted moisturiser! This would be perfect for summer when you don't want to pile on the the make up and just want something to even out the skintone. It also blends to a smooth velvet finish and also minimises the pores. It does have a slight smell to it but nothing too overpowering. Not to mention, I love Murad products so I'm going to enjoy this one!

Full size price £29.00, 30ml

So I hope you've enjoyed reading my first post... look out for more! And let me know if I've tempted you into subscribing to Glossybox (it's definitely worth it!) ;)
