LUSH Tea Tree Water Toner Water

Toner is probably one of the things I tend to neglect the most in my skincare routine, I can never really notice much of a difference from using it but I know that it helps to rebalance the skin after using cleanser. I recently decided to reintroduce toner back into my skincare routine and I opted for Lush's Tea Tree Water Toner Water, as I have oily/combination skin and the sales assistant suggested this...plus I used to use a few tea tree oil products during my acne prone years and it really helped a lot! Anything containing tea tree is great for oily/acne prone skin because tea tree has antiseptic properties so it really helps to prevent excess sebum turning into spots or helps to reduce existing spots.

Duri Rejuvacote Nail Growth System

I wear nail polish pretty much 90% of the year, constantly switching between colours and hardly ever letting my nails take a breather....and that can really takes its toll! A few month's ago I went through a stage where my nails were constantly peeling and breaking, breakage I've experienced but never peeling! I ended up having short nails for ages until I started using Duri Rejuvacote Nail Growth System from Duri Cosmetics. An ex-colleague of mine raved about it and she had lovely long strong nails so I decided to give it a go.

Sleek V2 Darks Ultra Mattes i-Divine Palette

I saw this in stores when it first launched but not sure why I didn't buy it at first. After seeing what Livia from Princess Livia did with the colours in terms of eyelooks, I had to go get this palette! Here's her post, definitely worth checking out! The palette comes with 12 matte eyeshadow colours that are extremely pigmented (as with all of Sleek's eyeshadow palettes). This palette is great for everyday wear, especially for more subtle neutral looks...I sometimes find that eyeshadows that have too much shimmer can be a bit overpowering for everyday. I'm now a Sigma Affiliate! - Sigma F80 Brush and Grasp Eyeshadow Review

I was contacted some time last month by the lovely Vincy at Sigma to see if I was interested in joining the Sigma Affiliate program, and of course I said yes! The program was something I had always been contemplating since I first started my blog. I think Sigma brushes are really great quality and affordable - majority of my make up brushes are actually from Sigma come to think of it! As a welcome gift, Vincy sent me a lovely little Sigma gift...if you'd like to read about my thoughts on it then please do continue reading :)

Top 5 Favourite Perfumes

L-R: Miss Dior Cherie, Davidoff Cool Water, Givenchy Very Irresistible, Anna Sui Dreams, Chloe

My perfume collection is probably one of my biggest and most favourite beauty-related collections, aside from my blush collection. I have been collecting perfumes since I was 12, some of which I bought and some that were gifts. Over the years, this collection has just grown and I've lost count of how many I own because I have some with me in London, some in Hong Kong and some in Nigeria...but I reckon it's definitely over 30. For this post, I've picked out my Top 5 favourite perfumes of all time and they are ones that I will repurchase for as long as they still exist.

Topshop Blush - Prime Time & Flush

I've been impressed with Topshop's beauty range, in particular their nail polishes and lipsticks. So of course being a blush addict, I had to try their blushes! No surprises there! Their blushes are all cream to powder finishes and come in a cute white with black polka dot compact that also comes with a mirror. I decided to get Prime Time and Flush. Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF20 in Sand

On hot summer and lazy days, tinted moisturizer is the way to go for me just because it feels lighter on the skin, helps to even out my skintone and is simply just quick. I got into tinted moisturizer last summer when I gave E.L.F Tinted Moisturiser a go and although it's much cheaper and does an okay job coverage-wise, I knew I always wanted to try the ever popular Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer. My flatmate was lovely enough to buy me a Selfridges giftcard for Christmas, so when the time came to spend it, I knew what I wanted to spend it on. Continue reading to see my thoughts on this :)

American Apparel Nails - Neon Yellow

I've been looking for a neon yellow nail polish since seeing Alesha Dixon's nails on BGT, her neon yellow was so vibrant and looked great on her. I'm not quite sure what brand she was wearing though...my guess is between Illamasqua Rare and AA Neon Yellow. Anyway, I got the AA one but I was quite disappointed with this polish. It's soooo streaky! Takes 3 - 4 coats for opacity. Most of the AA polishes I own have been very opaque...I've never had to use more than 2 coats. Maybe if I had one coat of white polish as a base then I might not have to use that many coats of the neon yellow polish, will have to try that out. Another surprised was that the polish dried to a matte finish (turns out all AA neon polishes dry matte), so you need a top coat to give it shine. Because I had to use so many coats it took a very long time to remove the polish and my nails were slightly stained afterwards. The colour looks amazing in the bottle but I'm not too impressed with this polish otherwise, shame because I like a few of their other neon polish colours.

My Everyday Makeup Bag

In my previous WIMH post, I briefly mentioned a makeup bag which I carry around in my handbag almost everyday. I never used to carry a makeup bag with me, only because I don't normally touch up my makeup. Back then, if I did carry any makeup, they would usually just be chucked into my handbag and I end up spending ages rummaging around for it. So I thought I would be a bit more organised and start using a makeup bag (I got this makeup bag from Superdrug a few years ago). To be honest though, I hardly reach for most of the things in the bag but it's just good to know that if I did need any touch-ups or what not I have the means to do so. If you'd like to see what makeup I carry with me then continue reading :)
