A little Urban Decay haul

You know when go into a store with the intention to only buy one thing, then get sucked in by everything around you, and you end up with several items that you probably don't really need. Yeah. That's what happened this weekend when I went to Urban Decay.

I had wanted to get one of the Matte Revolution lipsticks and ended up getting the Pore Perfecting Complexion Primer Potion, Brow Beater, an Eyeshadow, and two gifts with purchase of travel size versions of the original Eyeshadow Primer Potion and All Nighter Setting Spray.

Urban Decay Naked Basics

Yes, I caved. I bought the new and absolutely beautiful Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. To be honest, it wasn't really a tough decision to make! I'm a huge fan of the original Naked palette, I recall when I first saw it in Boots and exclaiming: "Oooohhh pretty!!", but stupidly didn't buy it at the time (I contemplated and oogled for far too long!). Christmas came along and it was sold out everywhere! Luckily, UD brought it back and I picked one up immediately, no questions asked! Then came Naked 2, which I am/was tempted in buying just to have it as I am a makeup hoarder...ahem, collector! But I feel the colours in the Naked 2 are a bit too cool-toned for my skintone so I've managed to steer myself away from that one (...whether I've steered myself far enough, is another question!). I must say Urban Decay outdid themselves with the Naked Basics palette, no surprises there though...

MAC Eye Shadow in Ricepaper and Satin Taupe

MAC Eye Shadow in (L-R): Ricepaper and Satin Taupe

Uh-oh...my MAC obsession is slowly but surely growing! I've been into makeup for many years, and one of my first ever lipglosses was from MAC but I found it so sticky and since then I haven't really explored MAC makeup...funny how one sticky lipgloss steered me away from MAC for so many years! However, in the last 2 or 3 years, I've been getting into MAC products more and more... I love their Liquidlast Liner in Point Black, extremely black and long-lasting on my oily lids even though the liner does get gloopy after a while. And of course, I've also been getting into their lipsticks as well, you can see my latest posts on two of the lipsticks in their latest Marilyn Monroe collection and my post on my favourite completely matte lipstick, Ruby Woo.

A few weeks ago, I was in Heathrow's T3 Duty Free and I could not resist heading straight to the MAC counter. I had to wait quite a while to be served because for some reason there was only one girl working in the store and she was actually doing makeup on another customer...Poor thing, felt bad for her because she had to keep apologising to the growing number of waiting customers. Anyway, I have been eyeing these Ricepaper and Satin Taupe for a while now so I had to get them, especially at the £10 duty free price!

My Inglot Eye Shadow Palette

I've always wanted to create my own palette so I couldn't resist Inglot's Freedom System where you get to choose your own blush, lip colour, eyeshadow, pressed powder, concealer, etc and build your very own custom palette!

My first Natural Collection purchase!

Natural Collection is a line of super cheap makeup that can be found in Boots, I've heard quite a few people say great things about their blushes...I mean for £1.99, you can't really go wrong! I also picked up one of their duo eyeshadows in Mink/Sable which was also £1.99! For swatches and my first impressions, please continue reading :)

Sleek V2 Darks Ultra Mattes i-Divine Palette

I saw this in stores when it first launched but not sure why I didn't buy it at first. After seeing what Livia from Princess Livia did with the colours in terms of eyelooks, I had to go get this palette! Here's her post, definitely worth checking out! The palette comes with 12 matte eyeshadow colours that are extremely pigmented (as with all of Sleek's eyeshadow palettes). This palette is great for everyday wear, especially for more subtle neutral looks...I sometimes find that eyeshadows that have too much shimmer can be a bit overpowering for everyday. I'm now a Sigma Affiliate! - Sigma F80 Brush and Grasp Eyeshadow Review

I was contacted some time last month by the lovely Vincy at Sigma to see if I was interested in joining the Sigma Affiliate program, and of course I said yes! The program was something I had always been contemplating since I first started my blog. I think Sigma brushes are really great quality and affordable - majority of my make up brushes are actually from Sigma come to think of it! As a welcome gift, Vincy sent me a lovely little Sigma gift...if you'd like to read about my thoughts on it then please do continue reading :)
